Full academy website rebuild for SEND education
Kingsley Academy needed a website that reflected who they really are. Their previous site held important information, but it didn’t clearly communicate their full mission, structured curriculum, or depth in safeguarding. The goal was to create a website that felt calm, compliant and parent-focused.
The site was restructured to make essential information easier to find. SEND support, safeguarding, admissions and curriculum were separated into clear sections. Long, policy-heavy content was rewritten into a readable format so parents could understand expectations without feeling overwhelmed.
This rebuild wasn’t cosmetic. It clarified the academy’s identity, strengthened visibility into compliance, and improved how families navigate complex information. The result is a structured, trustworthy platform that supports parents, local authorities and referral partners with confidence.
Kingsley Academy provides alternative education for learners who do not thrive in mainstream settings. Their curriculum combines vocational pathways, embedded functional skills and structured pastoral support. Safeguarding, SEND provision, and multi-agency collaboration sit at the centre of their work.
The academy needed their full mission statement clearly presented. Their three educational routes, Active Learn, Discovery and Future Pathways, required proper visibility. SEND and safeguarding content needed to meet regulatory expectations while remaining readable for families. They also required a secure parent login area and clearer admissions guidance.
The previous site grouped safeguarding and SEND together, which diluted clarity. The curriculum structure was difficult to understand. Some compliance information was present but not logically organised. Parents had to search for key information. Important details were available, but not easy to access.
All safeguarding, SEND and curriculum content was reviewed and reorganised so nothing was lost, but everything became easier to find.
SEND, Safeguarding, Prevent and Operation Encompass were split into distinct pages, improving transparency and inspection readiness.
Seven vocational pathways were structured into expandable sections, allowing detailed information without overwhelming users.
The full aspirational mission statement was restored and positioned correctly to reflect the academy’s identity.
Admissions, home-school agreements, and support services were rewritten in plain language to improve understanding.
A parent login area was incorporated to support controlled document access and better communication.
The three learning routes were positioned clearly, helping parents understand how education is delivered before exploring subject pathways.
SEND Overview, SEND Provisions, SEND Information Report, and Useful Links were organised into a clear support cluster.
Dedicated pages for Safeguarding, Prevent and Operation Encompass strengthened compliance visibility and accountability.
Policy-heavy language was reshaped into readable sections while maintaining accuracy.
The referral process was mapped step-by-step so families and schools could follow it without confusion.
The website now separates philosophy, curriculum, safeguarding and operational detail in a logical order.
